Biography

CICERO || God-like being, Night watch

Cicero, whose nickname is "Tenabrae Sensus" or "One Who Perceives/Understands The Night", is the Clan's nocturnal lookout and warrior, and one of three mysterious, powerful beings. Often thought to be a sort of "ethereal spawn" of Shadowbinder's, Cicero's magic abilities are unfathomable, and he puts them to good use whenever predators and rival Clans get a little too close for comfort to the Clan's boundaries. His magic, however, often has collateral effects on the surrounding area, and any unlucky dragons within the vicinity may witness horrific nightmares, random pains or itchiness, and even hallucinations as a result of being too close to the target. Despite this though, his magic remains so incredibly effective at driving away night terrors that no one bothered to bring the issue up with him. Instead, the Clan simply warns newcomers of being too close to bolts of dark mana and bizarre, magically-twisted areas.

Cicero's past is unknown, and his behavior is just as cryptic. He speaks little, and doesn't seem to understand simple body language. He additionally "hums" to himself when awake at night; a low, seemingly random tune that is strangely catchy. Since Cicero is only awake during the darkest hours of the Tangled Wood and tends to lurk in the shadows, no one is really sure what he eats, where he sleeps, or even if he's alive to begin with! While he doesn't say much(at least not in common draconic), Cicero seems to be an ally of the Clan, though exactly why he chose to be one is unknown; some speculate that the Shadowbinder herself sent him to the Clan as a gift for being loyal to the Shadow Flight, an exalted dragon working on behalf of his deity. Unlike the other elusive dragons in the Clan though, one can easily visit Cicero after nightfall, as his favorite perch overlooks the Clan and penetrates the treeline at such an angle that one can see what might be lurking within it. While the greyscale Coatl is less than sociable, he doesn't mind a dragon or two accompanying him in his role as lookout during the night.
