Biography
CYRANO || God-like being, Day watch
Cyrano, who is oftentimes called "Lux Sensus" or "One Who Perceives/Understands The Day", is Cicero's counterpart as the diurnal watcher and guardian of the Clan, and the second of three powerful beings.Sometimes thought of as an exalted Light dragon trying to encourage the Shadow dragons to look at things in a different perspective, Cyrano takes up the helm once Cicero retires by dawn, his impressive form taking up the entire lookout perch used by the two beings. Similar to Cicero, Cyrano has an incredibly vast magical arsenal which aids him in his task, with his abilities focused around the Light rather than the Shadow. Unlike Cicero's magic though, the collateral damage dealt by Cyrano's spells often have more positive effects on the surrounding dragons; instead of causing fear or delusions to drive away the target, it instead switches the target's focus to more desirable things outside of the Clan and encourages it to leave by its own will. Many dragons caught in the magic's range witness a strong desire to pursue their interests and to be productive. Due to this, some of the Clan members pester Cyrano for a blast of magic placed on them in the hopes that it would give them good fortune, though the kindly dragon usually refuses in fear of causing more disastrous results he never lets in on.
Cyrano is an affable Imperial, very friendly and caring; and some dare say, even motherly toward his pupils. Alongside his task as the Clan's lookout, Cyrano teaches the Clan hatchlings many things, holding unofficial-yet intriguing-classes meant to encourage growth and a love for education. Many young dragons quickly learn to love Cyrano and his seemingly-endless amount of patience and understanding. While he can be stern toward the more indolent students, he nevertheless gives each individual dragon as much attention as it needs, helping whenever necessary and understanding that sometimes, you just need to step back and give the student some room to breathe. Cyrano does have a few topics he doesn't dare teach his pupils though; he detests physical violence, becoming frustrating and disapproving whenever it happens (and something about a giant Imperial glaring at two tussling hatchlings gets them to stop immediately), so he refuses to teach anything in regards to fighting. However, he will teach magic, albeit only Light magic so as to prevent as much harm as possible. He will also tentatively dabble in defenses, schooling his students on warded magic-such as shields-and blocking postures so they aren't entirely defenseless on their own. Despite this though, Cyrano's position on violence remains firm: " If every dragon spent its time studying and inventing, instead of brawling with one another like a bunch of angry Beastclans, we and our societies would remain superior to every creature in Sornieth simply due to our sheer amount of intelligence." He claims confidently.
