Born in the same birth clan to different parents as Scourge, she was raised on stories of his betrayal and had come to admire him. She was relatively happy with her clan though, but she wanted to be taken under Scourge's wing and to be taught his fighting tecniques.

Eventually she made the call to leave her birth clan, though to her family's disapproval. The cost of leaving her birth clan meant that she could never see any of them and that she would be considered an enemy to Shadowbinder. She still took the plunge and left.

Once she had arrived at Scourge's clan, she was met with resistance by Scourge whom was hostile against her. After managing to pin Scourge down- a total fluke to which he denied happened to this very day, he listened to her and agreed to take her under his wing on the condition that she served the clan and Plaguebringer.

Over time, she began to excel in her training and served as Scourge's personal bodyguard while also acting as his confidant. They eventually became mated together, yet Sigma refused to rule the clan with Scourge as equals and instead opted to remain his bodyguard.
