Bartholomew

Bartholomew came to the clan as a Nocturne with horrific injuries. His eyes, tongue, wings, and left foreleg had been removed with a very dull blade, and someone had carved the word "butcher" deep into his side with something even less sharp. He'd been left to die in the Ashfall Waste until Dart picked him up, reasoning that if nobody else wanted him, he was theirs for the taking.

His injuries were so severe that he had to have a breed change to have any hope of normal function. He made his wishes clear through writing: he wanted to be a mirror. The Matriarch oversaw his transformation personally, and took him on his first hunt with Ashes and Ajax.

As one of the few mirrors in the clan, Bartholomew enjoys the privilege of high social status, though he just considers it a nice change from being spat on most of his life. He's dedicated his life to quality meats and seafood. One would be hard-pressed to find a dragon more loyal to Columbine than Bartholomew is, and he won't hear a negative word about her in his presence.

He won't talk about his past, but he has a second chance, and he owes his future to the dragon who made his new life possible. The only hint he'll give anyone else about who he used to be is calling the clan-leader "Captain."

Recently, though, he's found a bit of happiness in the form of a snappy young thief with brightly shining Light eyes. Everyone agrees that him finding someone was probably the best thing for him, and Paschal keeps him out of the pits of melancholy he tends to get lost in.
