rogue my beloved

- one of the earliest non-progen dragons i ever hatched (unsure exactly how many nests were between hers, glorias and saryths, if any at all, but she was most likely the third that i know of, or at least for dragons i still have access to, previously thought she was the first but saryth and glorias nests take first and second respectively)
(and her mother being one of the earliest dragons i can remember buying from the ah. dont remember if i bought her as a hatchling or fully grown tho)

- either sold or gave her and her siblings away on the CS flight rising thread

- got her back a few months later when her owner didn't want her and was planning on exlating her, but checked to see if i wanted her back (and the answer is pretty obvious since she's still here!!)

- has been home ever since

> fun fact! she was the only wildclaw out of 4 hatchlings in a skydancer x wildclaw clutch (though going back into my history it only shows the nest as '1 wildclaw female' with no mentions of her siblings), which is a 2/98 chance! (this is likely the reason i kept her vs her siblings, as i didnt care for skydancers back then and would have found the rarity of her to be amazing. and also i loved wildclaws and her mum wss one of my favourites so getting a lil clone was pretty neat)

deserves some goddamn lore after all this time.

the catalyst into the founding of willowsong;

Silver was one of the first members of the fledgling clan to have a clutch, though soon after her childrens other parent, who had been just a fling, decided to leave as he had only decided to stay in the clan temporarily as he was passing through, and wanted to return to his life as a traveler.

Her children quickly grew, and one by one decided to follow in their fathers footsteps, until only one was left; Rogue. But soon, the urge to roam became to strong, and soon they too left the clan, promising to return eventually.

When Shadow and most of the other clan members decided to migrate, Silver and a few others stayed. Some didn't want to leave the home they had known, others didn't want to follow them into the infection filled plaguelands. Silver, however, held out hope that Rogue would return just as they promised, and didn't want to leave in fear of missing them return.

And eventually she did! Though she returned to a much smaller clan than she remembered, she re-acclimated to The Lairs way of life quickly and would eventually help in the founding of the shadow strand and their home town of Willowsong, just a little ways off from the original settling site of the clan.

hmmmmm

i kinda wanna pull a fizz and bring her into the main lair and give her all the love and lore she deserves
but shes currently entangled with her mother and my old clan right now.... hmmm

temp for lore notes because time to alter my lairs lore to fit my new ideas
since having 3 towns (not including the sunrise citadel) that the clan is located in doesnt make sense when 2 of those areas are places significant to the clan, while the other is not.

I might also put this info all in my official lair cartographer's bio when I figure out who it'll be, probably Stink (cant be Pyrite as he's the Cyclones cartographer and is too busy making maps of the different regions of Sornieth they've been to)
or maybe i'll get a new dragon to be a sort of historian? or maybe i'll just dump it into saryths bio under his lore, since he doesn't need much, and then his bio can be dedicated to the locations

so!

Cyclone's Way is now the hub for The Cyclone-Bound, Honeydew's pirate crew. Their ship is aptly named 'The Cyclone'. No longer is it a small sub island off of the original town, meant only as a temporary resting spot, it's now a settlement where the Cyclone-Bound members habitat primarily.

So now, while the clan still has 3 locations (+ their ally light town), it now fits with the new lore I've written in the last few days.

Alongside this, the lore for Willowsong is going to change a little too. Specifically, the founding of it.

While Contagion is what their original plague settlement has evolved into, Willowsong is a little different.

When Shadow (and a few other clan members) started showing signs of homesickness for the tangled wood, Malice planned with Saryth to go on a trip with Shadow, and visit her original home and the clan's original birthplace.

When they arrived, they were surprised by the small village built nearby. They assumed another clan had moved in since the last time Shadow was there, and were even more so surprised to meet Silver, one of Shadow's old clan members who had stayed behind when they migrated to the abiding boneyard, in this village.
As it turns out, Silver stayed behind on the off chance her daughter, Rogue, who had left to join another clan, were to ever return. As luck would have it, Rogue returned a few months later, and decided to build a small camp near the clans original location, which grew into the small village it was now thanks to a few travellers finding their way there, staying for a while before deciding to stay and help.

The few other residents of the village, once learning from Silver who Shadow was, agreed to join the Lair, in exchange for more hands to help the village grow into something larger.
With the news of the clans newest settlement, several Contagion residents, some older clan members who remembered the old shadow base + some of the newer residents who wanted a change in scenery, moved to the village, which soon grew into the town the clan now calls 'Willowsong.'
