Biography
KHARAN
{ The God of The Oasis }
_______________________________
Godhood:
An oasis can be as kind as it can kill, depending on Kharan's mood. It can be one's salvation, and another's downfall. He is a fair deity, no more good than he is evil; a neutral being. He has a wicked sense of justice, however, and should he deem one unworthy of aid, be them disrespectful to him, his lands, or the world he protects, he will show no mercy to any wandering nomad or lost soul within his deserts. He will simply sit and stare as they wander aimlessly through the sands, and eventually collapse in the heat.
He can produce mirages should it suit him, and often will lead unpure souls astray, waiting till they fall before guiding his birds to their body. A volt of vultures trail away him, often perched on his wings, outstretched for the purpose. They are his Charge, the small family of them that he has taken under, or over, his wings. He might not always be kind, but he is not wasteful; meat to fill the belly of his flock will not be left to rot. Those who he senses to be good of intention, however, he will draw towards savior; a small scatter of trees surrounding a pool of water. He is a God many wish to find themselves on the good side of, should one wish to avoid the screech of birds to be their final moments.
It is best to leave an offering to him before wandering the desert. He best prefers silks and precious gems as payment for being a last resort savior.
Clan Life:
Banished from the side of the Earthshaker to live again among mortals, at first he lived in a clan of other minor, gods-turned-mortals like him. However, as time pasted, he became restless. He needed to find a new territory to rule other than one filled with many like him. He had to become an individual. He sought to find another clan that would be worthy of his presence, but instead he found the cliff side smattering of tents that the Sheep Clan called home.
The run down colony of shacks was far from what he imagined, but magic users, though they carried dirtied souls, claimed that land as their home, and he felt comfortable to join them. The Mage's Corridor, as it is called, is his new home, though he often takes to the deserts of The Shattered Plain to watch over his pools and feed his precious birds. The Sheep Clan demands a tax of him, but a familiar place to return with such intriguing magic users is worth enough the treasure.
