Biography
History:
Circe was conceived far far from the clan, in the Plateaus that only dragons of Wind dare to claim. Her mother, Ailith, had been rebellious and had fled with a young mirror to a clan full of them. It wasn't to last though, the clan was not as Circe's mother had so hoped and dreamed. All too soon she had found herself with a two egg nest and a guy who she had no interest in raising her unhatched children with.
She'd known she'd made a mistake but waited, waited until Circe and her brother, Balance, were hatched and ready. However, she waited too long and Balance was taken from her for reason Circe's mother never divulged to Circe, and so Ailith once more fled, though this time back to the clan of her birth, with Circe young and tiny, clutched between her claws and she flew clumsily through the air.
Circe was immediately deposited by her grandfather, Castemere, who instantly looked to the young hatchling as Ailith plead her case before her parents. Circe was too young to understand that her mother was asking for her parents to look after her child, that Ailith was effectively abandoning her. Just like Ailith had abandoned Circe's brother to his own fate.
Ailith left, and her daughter wriggled her way into her grandmother and aunt's hearts. Asra, who had never had much interest in producing an heir despite the fact that she was also searching for a worthy mate, declared that Circe was to be her heir. Circe was the firstborn granddaughter of Sable and Castemere after all, and had a strong claim to the lineage. Despite the fact that not long after, Asra procured herself a strong mate in the form of Vanguard, she stubbornly would not put her own offspring over Circe. Sable grew to adore her grandchild as well, and stood beside Asra in this decision.
And so Circe was the next in line, and while she didn't technically need to continue the line so soon as it was already strong, she found a fae and fell in love. If Nuada had been a mirror her relatives would have thought him the perfect mate. He was Ice, born and raised, which helped the fact that Circe's own eyes were the pale green of Wind rather than the ice of her land. Still, Asra had selected a strong Guardian as her mate, so no one could say anything when Circe settled down with Nuada and soon after had a two egg nest.
Her grandparents were disappointed when both hatchlings turned out to be fae like their father, but Circe adored her children. She doted on them, like her own mother had never doted on her. She would never abandon her children. When Acacia wished to leave and explore the Water realm, Circe let her go with a heavy heart. Made heavier by the face that Acacia went on to serve the Tidelord. However her son, Rezon, decided to stay with the clan to his mother's vast delight.
It wasn't long after that Circe decided to try and find her long lost brother, and to do so she went out to search for where had mother had gone. It was difficult, but in several weeks she had tracked down the last know location of her brother. It was most unfortunate that he had already gone on to serve the Windsinger when she finally found him. His mate as well, leaving behind their extremely young children. Only one had been left when Circe found them, a tiny little girl by the name of Jordan.
Her niece.
This one piece of her past was in her grasp, a link to the brother she had never known nor would ever know. So she bundled up Jordan and took her home, took her back to the safety of Castemere's clan and introduced her honoured grandparents to their great-granddaughter with pride. Jordan was allowed to stay, and Circe adopted her niece as her very own. She hatched another nest of three soon after she returned with her brother's child, securing the line even further.
Circe was as happy as she could be. She might not have found her brother, but she had found a link to him. Her clan's line was secure, a daughter and granddaughter and great grandchildren within the clan to carry on its ways. Everything was going perfectly.
