Crystal is a dragon with all of the choices and none of the answers. She moved around a lot, driven by her curiosity and her need for new knowledge, as is typical of the Arcane Flight. From a very young age, her interests had always been diverse, and her interests changed almost constantly, one minute fascinated by the work of the hunting dragons or gathering dragons, the next by archivists and scientists. She quickly picked up an extremely wide variety of skills jumping from one job to another. Despite trying a little of everything, still nothing quite stuck, but still Crystal kept on trying different things and different approaches, knowing that she had all the time in the world to find her ideal job, and wanting to waste no possible opportunity, or settle for second best. With some of her work, she quickly became either a nuisance or a boon, as she was a natural leader, rapidly sussing out the skills of her comrades and making no qualms about telling each what they should be doing, filling it whatever work was left herself. While some of her employers saw this as extremely helpful, others would swiftly tell her to hold her tongue and get back to whatever it was she was doing, that or sending her on her way without pay out of annoyance. Still, attempting every job in every place she could reach gave her no solace in trying to find her place. A part of her troubles came from finding it hard to find new friends, hanging on to her old ones for dear life, not wanting to replace them out of loyalty. In each new position, she would work with and instruct her fellows, but kept a certain distance that always made her an outsider. When finally she came to clan Semper Victor, she had had enough of her wandering, and wanted to find a more long-term position. As luck would have it, the scientific dragons of the clan were always in need of assistance, and Crystal found herself right at home doing odd tasks in the lab, rising quickly in the assistant ranks (much to their slight but reluctantly accepting annoyance) as she learned the order of things. She now works as the manager of the scientific assistants, taking in the requests of the scientists and coordinating the assistants in order to best suit their needs. Still many question how long she will stay, and whether she will wander off again in search of other work. Bio based on this post. |
