A R T E M I S
(art) hunter Artemis was found by Swath as a scraggly, scrawny fledgling, hiding in the dense bamboo forests of the freshwater coasts. She was more than old enough to speak but didn't. She seemed to have been abandoned and had grown up on her own in the wild. It took care and patience to get her to act like a real member of dragonkind and not a fierce animal, but it was done, eventually. She's still half-wild, never talking, but she don't attack the wings of flying dragons or steal food anymore. Attempts to teach her a few manners have all come to naught, and so she runs wild aboard the dirigible, causing mischief and mayhem, along with her own gathering of orphans and urchins the clan has taken on. She still doesn't speak, to this day. Her main redeeming quality is her hunting prowess. Whenever she tags along on a ground excursion, you can be certain that she'll return with something tasty. She once downed a featherback boar all by herself, a hazardous task for the best of hunters. She shot it square between the eyes with her bow. If for whatever reason you need to find the small, flighty huntress, she goes where Swath goes, when she isn't running wild with her playmates, that is. On chilly nights she'll stay close to his warmth, winding around his legs like a big, scaly kitten.  |
