Edhanyn was a foundling - his egg had been abandoned in the shadows of the Hewn City. Mirathorn had the egg taken in, and he was hatched and raised by her Diplomatic Commander Hadrian. The child stayed within the Sunbeam Ruins, finding light within the moon and stars as well as the warmth of the sun. He is somewhat coddled by the other dragons, who are taken by his bright and friendly personality and keep him out of harm's way. Because he is a Light Dragon, he is treated with more acceptance by the clan than other foreign foundlings. He is being trained as an official delegate to Light clans in case the clan ever leaves the Sunbeam Ruins.

He is one of the few dragons without rivals or enemies in the clan, and also seems to like everyone. He is friendly and gentle. His dearest companion is is Kineko, his Golden Bantam Fangar familiar. He tamed Kineko, who had been wild, himself, and now the fangar watches over him and defends him from danger.
