In music, a dyad is a set of two notes or pitches that imply a chord. A dyad is also a couple or two units who are paired. Nyytdyad, with her labradorite wing accent, imitates the wings of her familiar as he flies beside her. Together, she and Almanac determine, then represent, important dates as well as the music of the Nocturnes who live in Nyytair Clan in Moonlit Nyyt Weyr. Her date is important to Lair Spirit Emberglo and her spouse, Fireweasel of Lightning.

Nyytdyad was thrilled to name herself after night and music, the themes of the Moonlit Nyyt Nocturnes of Clan Nyytair and include her own special cause as well. She arrived with shimmer and circuit but chose to change her primary once she settled in to her private weyr.

Dyad is a tapestry artist. She is producing the banners several dragons are wearing, in the traditional pattern of the Wild style. She works closely with Shadymum and Baldwin, as well as yarn spinner Tanzanyyt, to make sure the apparel is correct and as magical as it can be.

On the day before the 43rd anniversary of the day she signifies, a sword arrived, commissioned from the famous sword designer Drytil. Dyad is thrilled with it and will incorporate its beauty into her next tapestry. Yes, she is an artist working with softness and fluid colors but she is a dragon and she adores this sword.
