The other half of the "Storm Duo", and a loyal dragon that will back his friends to the hilt in a fight, Besarion is more action than words. Being born as a Nocturne, he's not great with social cues, and the complexity of a Ridgeback life has caused him to pretty much throw social graces out the window in favor of doing what he does best - fighting and winning. Before he was a Storm, Besarion was a fighter. He was the runt of his litter, and had to fight for food every day. This has transferred over to his day-to-day activities, and when he became Pridoni's man, he immediately signed up to become the head fighter and leader of the Coli teams.

In battle, Besarion watches the backs and tails of everyone while simultaneously kicking tail and taking names. He's merciless, hungering always for stronger opponents, and when he gets knocked in the dirt he gets up and trains until he bleeds, and then throws himself right back at whoever beat him. He's a direct contrast to Pridoni, who aims merely to knock opponents out when he fights unless there truly is no avoiding it. This sometimes leads to dominance scuffles between the two that end with Besarion prostrating himself before Pridoni in apology, and Pridoni scolding him about taking care of his people by not dragging trouble behind him. Sadly even the most heartfelt scoldings only take hold so long before Besarion is back out hunting for a fight again.

Besarion loves Arus, and would gladly die for her on any battlefield. He adores Pridoni, and treats the older dragon like a lord. He tolerates Dacejani because she's a good fighter to have as backup in case things go bad, and she's vicious. But he lives for the battlefield, for the thrill of the fight and the eventual kill - whether that kill be his opponent, or him.
