Nefarian is the Sanctuary’s Vault Keeper. They organize, sort, and keep tabs on treasure, gems, and any items that go in and out of the Vault. Excellent at mental math, other dragons will commonly stop by and ask them a math question, usually interrupting whatever counting they were doing at the time. Nefarian grumbles in response, but soon smiles and responds with the answer and returns to work. A kind hearted dragon by nature, Nefarian enjoys spending their days by the gardens or somewhere deep in the vault, checking, double checking, and triple checking their numbers.

Nefarian had lived most of their life travelling Sornieth, learning all he could about the world. They ventured to many clans, kingdoms, dens, and dwellings, but never found somewhere they felt they belonged. That changed when Nefarian met Lana. She welcomed them into the Sanctuary and although she seemed indifferent to them, they grew fond of her and her podid companion. As they learned more and more about the purpose of the Sanctuary, they realized they wished for this to be their home.

As time went on, Nefarian helped out more and more with keeping the Sanctuary organized and orderly, finding themselves making log books in their spare time, which was all the time as there was nothing they wished to do more. Their compulsion to count and ensure everything was correct is borderline obsessive, thus other dragons have been enlisted to help them take a break from the number crunching, and enjoy the simplicities of life.
