Chusayo loves soft things, and small things, and delicate things, and he takes the greatest care with them. Of course, since he's a ridgeback, most things are smaller, softer, and more delicate than he is. To keep from trampling or knocking over anything, he moves with a careful body awareness that's so ingrained it's like a dancer's grace. One could almost forget that he's 8,000-plus kilos and covered in blades. The ridgeback's "borrowing" tendency is strong in him, but he's also embarrassed by it. Most often, he ends up sidling up to the item's previous owner and saying something like, "Um, I borrowed your [X]. Can I keep it?" Other times he'll pick up a desired object in front of its owner and fondle it, looking wistful. He's so nice that many times the other dragon will let him keep the whatever it is. Chusayo is very protective of the small and vulnerable, but as a dedicated pacifist he defends others by inserting himself between them and danger, rather than by fighting. Despite his sensitive nature he has a great tolerance for pain—as long as it's to spare somebody else from suffering. If it's just himself, he can be the biggest baby ever. (He cried when Mysandre had to take a splinter out of his foot. Granted, it was a very large splinter....) He sort of wants to be in a relationship, but he isn't really clear on what kind. He had a crush on Layla when he first arrived, but she currently has no interest in a romantic attachment, and besides, it was upsetting Schnee, so Chusayo graciously withdrew. They're still a little awkward with each other, although Chusayo hopes they can just be friends someday. He and Tanitai have had a nest together, although she has no desire for a permanent partner; he was so very proud of his children, and more than a little sad when they all went to serve the Gladekeeper. Facts – Prefers to eat shellfish, jellyfish, and other seafood without faces. He also loves it when Elise makes little flowers out of cooked and shelled shrimp, or other pretty, decorative seafood dishes. – Works as a lairtender or groundskeeper, wherever he's most needed. (The tundras find his claws helpful for digging holes for new plants.) – Has a very soothing voice, and sings baritone in the Smokeveils choir. Fictions — Familiar He named his dwarf unicorn Felice after his mother (even though they share no resemblance whatsoever).
