Shade

Bio: Shade was born to Foxglove and Salam. Foxglove was frequently away, fighting battles to defend his honor, so he was frequently left with his nurturing but forgetful mother, Salam. To amuse himself, he took one of Salam's grimoires and began to teach himself magic tricks. He now puts those hard-earned skills to good use by performing magic tricks for the hatchlings of Derpothegreat's clan.

Lore: His soft clawsteps thudded through the tall bamboos; a luminescent royal purple mist surrounded him. Oblivious to the trail of magic he was leaving, Shade decided to head back to the lair.
His mother, Salam, was hunched over a cauldron bubbling with goopy gray muck. Suddenly, he remembered today was his hatchday. Reproachfully sniffing, he retreated to a corner and buried his head in his claws. Suddenly, Salam padded over. "Close your eyes," she said sing-songily. Obediently doing so, he was pleasantly surprised when he opened his luminous peridot eyes to see a lovely, gilded deck of cards placed neatly onto a fabric suit and a hat topping it all off. "Thank you thank you!" he babbled, immediately rushing out to practice with his cards. And from that day, he never left home without them.
