Ileria

This dragon is a member of the Lightning flight subspecies Stormdancer and meets the specific coloration and genetic criteria set forth by the flight.

Their job is widely considered one of the most dangerous, as it involves weaving storms together and tracking their path through the Shifting Expanse, doing their part to keep the Stormcatcher's massive machines running without pause.

The job is physically demanding, often involving flying for days on end shaping the storms into the form that would please their deity the most, but most Storm Dancers find the experience a reward in and of itself. Over the course of the years it has developed into an art form, and it's not unusual for a group of them to hold a contest to see who can shape the storm in either the most efficient or the most visually pleasing manner.

They each bear the distinctive mark of the storm on their bodies, as it's impossible to get so close to the heart of the storm without feeling it's touch. It's a mark of pride among them, but can also be a cause of sorrow as they remember those who did not survive their first thunderstorm.
