A strange little egg, nestled amongst the maiden's blush.

In times such as these, an egg is a precious thing, and to simply find one in the garden is a rare thing indeed.

What a beginning, Eldalote thinks, standing in a tunnel of crumbling stone, a lamp attached to her shoulder, for a dragon such as I. She is lithe, pretty, and young. She is not well-muscled, but rather delicate and feminine. She holds her wings tight against her body in the narrow space. Bright eyed, she runs her talons across the flat wall. Little scars mark the face, all in neat rows and different shapes.

From her waist, she takes a scroll. The long, weathered page, unfurling, reveals a list of symbols. Beside each is a word, or syllable, or a blank space. Every few lines is a row of them in a sentence-like fashion, and beneath, in careful writing, a translation.
With careful hands, she begins to copy down the marks on the wall in painstaking detail.

These are Eldalote's days, and she goes through them bright-eyed and excitable every time. There is no dragon better suited to these studies than she. Most days, she excitedly approaches Mandos or Irmo to show them her notes.

Little is known of Eldalótë. In Tolkien's legendarium, she is the wife of Angrod and mother of Orodreth. Her name is the Quenya for "high-elven flower".

Eldalote is the clan's archaeologist. She spends her days investigating the ruins and poring over old historical scrolls. She is beset with wonder at the mysteries of ancient places and, the young thing that she is, struggles to fathom the span of time.

Relationships
A terribly young thing, Eldalote is friends with Vaire, Mandos, and Irmo, who enjoy her company for a limited amount of time. She values the experience and knowledge they can offer her.

Otherwise, she spends her time with Mithrellas.

In times such as these, an egg is a precious thing, and to simply find one in the garden is a rare thing indeed. Vana came across it in the morning in the depths of winter, a few months after the last of the clan's eggs had been destroyed by harpies. It was a true gift, and even more so when the little dragoness popped out, full of light and full of life, fire-eyed and shiny-bellied.

As she grew older, she become more and more entranced with the ruins and the earth. Now, she spends her days excavating and investigating.
