Raiden Jpn: Thunder
It had almost been a year since Mizuho and Hinata were born into the Twilight Clan as well as the birth of their friend Kazuto and with the Winter Solstice drawing near, the three clan leaders decided to do something special for to celebrate their birth. With the idea of something special in mind, she set off on a trip to the Viridian Labyrinth to obtain some special meat only found there. Many days passed before Akatsuki was able to procure the meat, and by the time she made it back to the Tangled Wood, the legendary Night of the Nocturne was underway. On her way to her clan's home, she came across one of the many strange eggs that appear in the middle of the night; their origin unknown. Naturally, she took the egg with her and brought it home. When Akatsuki arrived, the birthday party had already begun, though everyone was excited to try the meat Akatsuki had brought with her, as well as even more excited about the egg she had found. While Shoushi was displeased to see the egg, he wasn't really surprised to see it either. Given Konsho's recent passing, Higure was weary, thinking it might be an attempt to try to fill the void left in their hearts, but she dismissed these thoughts, knowing Akatsuki had only pure intentions. Suishou and Soundwave were intrigued by the strange egg that neither had seen before. While Soundwave wanted to examine it, Suishou saw it as another thing to distract more attention from her own beauty, especially with another child, Yue, already being cared for. A few days later, the egg hatched into a baby boy Nocturne. While the dragons decided on a name, the young hatchling sneezed, letting a spark of electricity. This gave Akatsuki the idea to name him after an ancient name for the great Thunder God now known as the Stormcatcher, Raiden. He naturally became good friends with the other three children of the Winter Solstice in the clan and enjoyed playing with them each day. Under Akatsuki's guidance, Raiden learned to harness his powers further, able to draw in moonlight to unleash great lightning storms and became a powerful dragon. Of course, he was taught only to use these powers to protect those that he loved. However, a wild child at heart, Raiden often gets himself into trouble without much trying often needing a little help to fend off whatever beast or dragon is after him next. He can get more than a little cocky at times, but is still friendly at heart and would do anything to protect his sisters Hinata and Mizuho and friend Kazuto. |
