He was adopted by the LunarMyst clan under similar circumstances to RainbowMoonstone.

It was prophesized in a ceremony following RainbowMoonstone's donning of the cloak during Night of the Nocturne that together the pair would bring harmony from within the misguided Lightning Flight, and then possibly the entire realm.

So the Alphess of LunarMyst clan BlueLightning, went on the search for the dragon of the sun, and she found the five day old nocturne who appeared just as prophesized, except he had the purple eyes of a Shadow Dragon...
There was hesitation at first as to weather or not he was to be the true Solar Prince and was immediately tested. It turned out his father was of Light and his mother of Nature, he was merely born in the Shadow. And with witnessing his demeanor, desire, and natural gifts relating to the duty, it seems he's a living example of a phoenix from the ashes. They named him Sunstone and told him of his birth right, training him to be the Solar Warrior Priest to stand equal beside their Lunar Warrior Priestess.
Both hailing from quarreled Flights- Shadow and Lightning, working to bring about peace and harmony throughout the entire realm.

He's quiet and serious, but kind, yet well trained at death dealing should he feel the need. He is very protective over RainbowMoonstone even though she is older than him and well equipped to defend herself, he feels a great love and admiration for her, and simply could not stand to lose her as they are tied for life by an incredible bond, it's as if they can even read eachothers minds sometimes.

Upon joining the clan pairbonding with RainbowMoonstone and donning his cloak, as NotN was drawing to a close Sunstone and his mate set out for another aspiration, to tame the herder's of the moon and sun themselves, Skoll and Hati.
It was perfect, the moon had been full on part of NotN on the 25th, and now the moon was new and the event was still going.
After a successful 3 day summon honoring canids and the moon & sun with lunar/solar energy symbols and crystals, and lots of howling from all of LunarMyst clans canid familiars, on the 30th Hati first appeared to RainbowMoonstone while the moon was at rest; then later that night after the sun was herded to slumber Skoll appeared to Sunstone.
Sunstone asked the deity if he'd be willing to help finally bring true balance to the world, and Skoll accepted Sunstone's unwavering goal and true devotion as THE definitive Solar heir, now Sunstone through him, had a direct link to the sun and it's wisdom, he could even beckon the sun at his will. Not to mention, a direct link to Skoll and all the clans canid's.
