.. ▍ABOUT
A former postulant, Styx had come to the Daybreak Monastery as an adolescent. The Daybreak Monastery was situated where it was believed the Lightweaver had first woken up from her sleep; it was a common belief that praying near where the Lightweaver had once rested could cure one's ailments, or reduce the difficulties of life. It was for this reason Styx sought the monastery out.

She became a storyteller in time; she provided whimsical tales of dragons and princesses. Despite, or perhaps due to her childhood being rife with illness, she had the colorful imagination of a child. It helped her connect with children on a level that most caretakers didn't understand; however, did not give her the ability to properly care for the youth in a manner that is necessary for their development as they age. It was for this reason she was not given the position of a caretaker, but as a storyteller.

It was one rightfully earned, as even adults find themselves lost in wonderment with the tales she'd spin on a whim. Though she carried with her the colors and markings of one marred by plague and illness as a youth within the Plaguebringer's domain, children quickly overcame their fears upon seeing her being as friendly as the rest of the monastery's residents, as well as her willingness to interact with them in a manner that extended past maternal and paternal care.
