Biography
Isolde holds everyone—including herself—to impossibly high standards, and, with the exception of herself, is invariably disappointed when her expectations are not met. She fully believes that she will ascend to clan matriarch someday, and why should she not? As far as she is concerned, Esuna is best suited to drudgery, and her idiot brother will die from his affliction long before her feathers turn gray. With no other suitable heirs, it is obvious to Isolde that she is the future of the clan. The fact that no one else believes this, or would even consider it a credible rumor were they to hear of it, is something she is entirely oblivious to.
Quite the vain creature, Isolde spends much of her time alone, preening her feathers and prancing about in front of whatever reflective surfaces she can find. When she does venture from her lair, it is typically only to trade for new and expensive silks or jewelry. She has no real friends or acquaintances, believing herself to be above the rest of the rabble. This over-inflated sense of self worth may have originated during her adolescent years, when her mother consistently ignored her and left her with terrible, deeply-rooted insecurities. Of course, her self-imposed isolation has only served to make most of the clan forget that she even exists.
