necromancer

Catweazle practices all kinds of necromancy, alchemy and other magic. He evokes spirits and helps creatures from other dimensions materialize. The children of the clan ━ and everywhere he goes – love him for his crazy experiments, his stories and his spontaneity. He takes his little companion Kühlwalda (a little blue and purple toad with beautiful red eyes and a tendency to sleep in the most impractical places) everywhere since he needs her as a familiar for his spells and they frankly need to keep an eye on each other.

name origin: the book by Richard Carpenter (his toad is called 'Touchwood' in the original apparently)
