Sajira likes moonlit walks, crunchy bugs, and jumping off the dock. Sajira may be older than many in the clan, but she is young and foolish at heart. Her silly ways often lead her into trouble and her stories grow more exuberant with each telling. Many members of the clan, especially the young tend to find themselves drawn to the warmth and joy that radiates around her. As a leader and elder, she is often called upon for advice or to make decisions for the clan - something that she oft times wishes would fall to someone else. That someone else usually ends up being Voriano, her mate and co-leader. Sajira and Voriano have a colorful past; together they started the Vagrant Vizard of Vecordy in the hopes of creating a better tomorrow for the lost, the forgotten, and the mad. They are mated and have several children that they are very proud and protective of - but there is no love between them. On good days - they are the very best of friends; but on the bad days, they can hardly stand to be in the same room as one another. Sajira thinks Voriano can be very paranoid and rude, whilst Voriano often finds Sajira to be far to silly to be a leader. Agreeing to disagree is not one of their strong suits. The thing that keeps them together is the Vagrant Vizard of Vecordy itself. The promise of a land of joy and the chance to forget the sorrows of the past.

As a hatchling, Sajira was a wanderer. She was always getting distracted by a funny shaped cloud or a colorful butterfly and following them down away from her mother. She got lost many, many times. Her parents would do everything that they could think of to keep her within her home - but they worked full, hard jobs and couldn't always watch her. One windy, Autumn day she took off following the loose leaves on the wind. She ran through the trees, jumping over fallen logs, and splashing through puddles and small ponds - a chubby ball of giggling mud. She danced through the fields and picked wild flowers, singing silly songs. When finally her tummy started to rumble - she turned to head home. But which way was home? The little noc ran and ran in all directions, her trepidation growing quickly as full dark fell. Lost, hungry, and alone, Sajira wandered into a small cave. The cave had the makings of a burned out fire and several small objects: someone had been living there, but they didn't seem to be around anymore. She stayed in that cave for several days, eating little bugs she found all around. She was sitting there trying to get the fire going again, when a lady mirror came tromping in like she owned the place! Sajira started crying and whining about how it was her cave, but when the mirror dropped a large portion of deer by the pit and got the fire started real quick, Sajira immediately starting blabbling away happily. The mirror didn't mind the hatchling - she'd been alone for a long time - she introduced herself as Vivacious. The mirror took the little noc under her wing and they took care of each other. Although she never found her childhood home, as she grew into an adult, Sajira never lost her playfulness. She came to greatly admire Vivacious; eventually even loved her, though it was an unrequited love. They found Voriano wandering the woods, half mad with grief. Together they created the Vagrant Vizard of Vecordy. |
