As a hatchling, Jephen was separated from her clan and couldn't find her way back in the thick undergrowth. Her clan left her behind, but Jura stumbled across her while on a forging mission. Jura was struck with compassion for the (slightly strange and spooky) hatchling and decided to take her in. One can say that Ravon was more than surprised when Jura arrived back to the clan with another hungry mouth to feed, but he was more than happy to oblige. Jephen is now growing at an alarming rate and spends more time with Adonox (who is closer to her age anyway) than with the other hatchlings. She is perceived as 'different' and 'spooky,' but she doesn't act spooky at all. In fact, she is extremely kind, if a bit unconfident. Now, if only she could get those cobwebs off of her wings...
