Biography
art by Somnibris:
Leth, one of the founding members of Clan Hathwall, has seen many a dragon come and go in his time. His first mate, Luth, was his consort in the creation of Hathwall and together they brought Maleth and his siblings into the world. As more dragons, homeless or cast from their clans, came to Clan Hathwall, though, Maleth shunned his father and left to serve Shadowbinder. Soon after, his siblings and mother followed, leaving Leth alone with the growing dragon clan.
After much toil and grief, he managed to reach an understanding with the rest of the clan--Luth before had been the one to manage interspecies communication in the past. The struggle is constant, keeping the peace between the races, especially with the language barriers Fae dragons have with the rest.
For what seemed like ages he yearned to find a new mate. The companionship and simple enjoyment of another's company in the long hours of the dark night were a thing he missed dearly.
It was years before Latalu joined the clan and their friendship was slow in growing. At some point, though, the fae and the tundra seemed to reach a sort of understanding, slipping easily from friendship alone into a mixture of frienship and something closer. It never became the full romance Leth hoped for, but that gave him time to think, realising that he was content with that for now and placed his focus elsewhere.
More time passed and slowly the Fae began to realise that perhaps his discomfort was not because of the lack of a mate, but rather that he sought distraction from himself. After a great deal of thought and meditation, he decided to go through with the process of becoming a Coatl. As soon as the decision was made, he began to feel much more at peace with himself, shedding the need for many of the things he looked for to distract himself from looking too deep into himself.
Shawyr then entered his life, and while Latalu was still Leth's closest friend, he and Shawyr almost immediately hit it off. Still, all things pass in time, and so did Shawyr--off to another lair far away and without warning. He wonders about her often, but has heard nothing since she vanished without a trace.
