Biography
A young and intelligent Fae, mother of 3 full-grown Mirrors and leader of the clan. Very kind, charitable and nurturing, she indiscriminately takes in young hatchlings no matter their species or chosen flight and raises them as if they were her own. A diligent follower of the Arcane flight herself, she remains supportive and helpful as she can be to her adopted hatchlings, teaching and providing them with all they need to learn and grow.
Laila is indisputably the hardest-working member of the clan, toiling to make sure her expansive lair remains in proper working order. Despite her personal distaste for the flavour of fish and sea creatures, she has a great interest in fishing and sailing, and as such usually elects to lead the fishing parties herself during the morning gathering runs. She often studies the workings of ships in her spare time, in addition to her pursuit of knowledge regarding all things arcane. Regarding her abilities in the arcane, she enjoys experimenting with potions, although her outcome-oriented curiosity usually yields unfavourable results and a great mess for the unlucky dragon(s) tasked with the day's cleaning duty. To be quite honest, despite her wealth of knowledge her young age causes her to choose action-first over reasoning, meaning she is often stuck limping back to her lair with fractured wings or sprained ankles....
Of course, the language barrier between herself and her many charges is a great problem, but thanks to Nadin she has been mostly able to overcome this issue (despite his persistence, this project remains a work in progress). She remains eternally grateful to Nadin, and regards him as her greatest friend, but wishes he could be a bit less protective (read: sheltering) to her. First and foremost a leader and mother to her clan she is prone to behave as an antisocial or independent spirit. As such she will occasionally take the time to sit outside the lair at night and watch the stars, marveling at the vast magnificence and relaying the old tales told of the Arcanist and his research over and over again in her mind....
