The one thing that can consistently be said of Ace is that nothing seems to dampen her mood. When she's not following her partner, Arrow, around on his mystery adventures, Ace is usually curled up in her lair, wrapped in absurd amounts of blankets and scarves and various types of knitwear. She doesn't miss the Ashfall Wastes of her species or the Shifting Expanse of her personal roots, but Brightspire's coastal location can be so cold at times!
Perhaps because of this, Ace has become quite the crafter. Her blankets and cloth apparel have all been made by her own hand (as have some of Arrow's), and she spins her own yarn for her projects. The fur she collects comes from wherever she can find it - Trill the Bucktooth Digger, Anatoly's Bantam Fanger familiar, any Tundra willing to collect and donate their shed fur, and various wildlife suddenly surprised by a cheerful Coatl giving them a haircut, among other sources. Ace is hardly picky until she goes to dye and spin the fur into usable yarn. Her mixes of color are often one of a kind, and she takes great pride in her work, humming thoughtfully to herself as she spins. Brightspire is rather lacking in other Coatls, so no one seems to know if she's actually speaking or singing as she works. Arrow often gives cryptic answers to her hums, but Yuletide is convinced he's just blowing smoke and pretending he speaks Coatl.
Ace has tried to convince Prose's Longneck familiar, Griff, and his family to donate their long fur to her project, but the Longnecks are of the opinion this is a bit creepy and odd. Ace just shrugs and asks again later.
