Master Jeweler | Yachel's Mate

Two shining pink eyes peer through a special lens, carefully inspecting a large gemstone. With a practiced motion, they flip the stone over to check the underside before placing it in a specific box full of other, similar gems.

Shatterwing is a jeweler, although he would consider that his profession more than his calling. He was apprenticed to a master jeweler at an early age, and learned the craft. But he never truly fell in love with it. His work allows him to make a living, and in turn he supports himself and his mate, Yachel.

This meticulous Guardian first met Yachel when they were both mere hatchlings. Their parents were friends, and would often have the two younger dragons play together to keep them occupied. Yachel and Shatterwing grew close as children, and their connection only strengthened into adulthood. But where there was once a friendly respect, Shatterwing soon found himself feeling something… something entirely different for the Nocturne he had been friends with for so long. As he grew older, the very sight of her would send something fluttering in his stomach. She made him nervous in the best way possible. When Shatterwing was finally old enough to realize what was happening, he told his dearest friend about it.

To his delight, Yachel admitted that she felt just as strong an attraction toward him. From then on, the two were an inseparable pair. It wasn’t difficult to transition from being friends to mates. Yachel is still his very closest companion, and they share nearly everything. They have a close bond that not even death itself could break. To Shatterwing, Yachel is the most precious gem of all.
