Living in close proximity to them since she was a hatchling, even going so far as to nearly become one's mate, she has become virtually immune to their effects and is ready to journey out into the world in search of them. She has never been honorable, and this plagues her like nothing else - he mentor and almost-love was so dedicated to his cause, so genuine in everything that he did, that she feels as if she is betraying a confidence whenever she plays her cards in an underhanded way. She was born with a malicious nature, while he had one thrust upon him, and the fact that she lacks the drive to fight against it as he does is a silent shame on her part. She wears a filigree banner in his honor, with his name etched into the inner surface. The matriarch of the Joyful Contagion knew all of this just from one look into the young coatl's eyes, yet still she treated her like a daughter. Slash was guilty of stirring up dissent in the clan and almost bringing about a revolt, but still she is loved. She was sent away to find her purpose, almost an exile, but even in as she leaves the clan's traditional blessing follows, constantly lending her the strength to maybe, maybe, be a better dragon.
