When Talyn and Jade were wandering through the auction house one day, looking for a dragon willing to come train and serve the Ice Warden, they found Egeria. She asked them for help and told them that she didn't want to go serve any deity. The kindhearted Jade couldn't deny the hatchlings pleas, so she took her home with her, giving her a fresh start.
