If you had one fault, it was that you wanted to save people so badly, y-you wanted to help people so much, that it tore you apart when you couldn't make a difference.

B I O G R A P H Y

There is a greater darkness than the one we fight. It is the darkness of the soul that has lost its way. The war we fight is not against powers and principalities; it is against chaos and despair.

His name (pronounced tau-rhee) comes from the word tau'ri, which is the people of the Milky Way's name for those humans that come from Earth in Stargate. These are the people who are considered to be from the first planet.

Tau'ri speaks very little of his past to anyone, even to his own mate, whom he carries a mistrust for. No one in the clan understands him, no one can figure out why he agreed to take a mate, or even come to the clan in the first place if he carries such little trust for other dragons, especially it seems for ice dragons. The only dragons in the clan he will even speak to, are others who come from the light flight, hence the reason Nerys is his mate. The rumor mill has it that he does in fact love Nerys, it is just that he is incapable of expressing that love, as all his emotions seem to have been repressed within him and he speaks in depressed tones to all. Nothing at all is known about his background other than that he came from the land of light, which adds even more curiosity to his shadowed past, as the lights children have never been known for their devotion to secrecy or love of mystery.

However, he ran Nerys off, she grew so unhappy with his constant moods that she left the clan to serve the Icewarden. She deemed it a "better fate than slowly loosing her mind alongside the dragon she thought she loved'. The rest of the clan can't help but wonder if this has had any real affect on Tau'ri at all, or if he actually does feel the pain of rejection somewhere beneath the surface...

However, he decided to try again, this time bringing a young Pearlcatcher back to the clan, before some of Zack and Lyta's rowdy hatchlings got ahold of a breedchange scroll and turned the poor dear into a Bogsneak. Despite this, Tau'ri claims that she's the one, the "actual one", not just "another one", even after his one night stand with Asariel.

F A M I L I A R

Greater than the death of flesh is the death of hope, the death of dreams. Against this peril we can never surrender. The future is all around us, waiting, in moments of transition, to be born in moments of revelation. No one knows the shape of that future or where is will take us. We only know that it is always born in pain.

Jacoby is a mender from a local Longneck clan that came to join Icheb's clan when he sensed great pain coming from within the cave one day. He found that pain belonging to Tau'ri, but it wasn't a physical pain that Jacoby could heal, but rather a pain of the soul that not even he could touch. He has vowed, however, to stay by Tau'ri's side until the pain has past, and perhaps even beyond that, seeing as he can't go home again.

But I'll tell you what though, Jacoby sure as hell hopes that Sakai is the "one", because he's sick and tired of his master moping around all over the place, and wants him to hurry up and get over himself so that Jacoby can go back to doing what he loves, healing others. Others that aren't his angry, self-entitled master.
