Ghislaine, though often hidden from view, is an ever-present magical entity that plays a crucial role in the clan. She is a passive generator of natural magic (her Arcane affinity actually strengthens her bond with the Glademother rather than detracts from it for whatever reason), and influences the growth of vegetation throughout the clan's territory, shaping it into the forms of the many dens and buildings that dot the clan territory. She has long since relinquished her role as an active protector of the clan and lies buried under vegetation, silently exerting her control over the physical appearance of the clan. She doesn't often involve herself in clan decision-making anymore, but in important situations her advice is always respected and followed.

Many people in the clan don't even know that Ghislaine exists. When the clan made its final relocation to the base of the Behemoth, she settled down in a remote part of the clan's territory, and settled into a deep half-slumber. She is now almost completely covered in vegetation and soil, functionally hidden from sight. Only the dragons who know her location or can sense her unique magical signature would be able to find her now. The only activity she really gets these days are sporadic visits from Clove, who goes out of her way to go talk with Ghislaine every once in a while under the philosophy that "everyone must get lonely sometimes."

Her Timber Tender recently became attached to her. It does not have a name, and she barely sees it, but the two are connected on an intimate level. Through its eyes, she can see the entire clan and observe their goings-on, making sure everything is alright.
