Eris

Eris began her life as a Ridgeback and earned renown as a warrior known as Morrigan prior to relocating to a new clan, assuming the name of a different war goddess of old, and becoming a Banescale. The lore documented below describes her earlier existence, which she honors by calling her armed familiar by her former name. (Additional lore to be added.)

Drafted into service with the fledgling EchoFlower clan as a hatchling and destined for greatness, Morrigan was already incredibly fearsome. She held her head high and moved through the clan as though she was already fully grown. Instead, she was a feisty hatchling with serious social skill problems. Multiple times she had - and has - been chastised for stealing things when she really was just borrowing them and, really Valho, do you need that right now? It turns out he did need that, and it turns out that Morrigan spent many days being chided for her behavior. Taking things without asking being a breed trait, Morrigan is frequently the go-to when things go missing about the troupe.

By the time she was a young adult, she was a formidable force on the battlefield and willing to push herself to become better. For reasons unknown to her or the rest of the clan, she nearly always has one raven following her at all times. While on the battlefield, there can be upwards of twenty circling overhead. This strange omen has led enemies to flee the battle before it begins. The warriors of the clan have shifted through the years, with Morrigan and Rush being the oldest members remaining. It is on both of them to train new members, a job they take deadly seriously.

When not keeping the EchoFlower Troupe safe from threats or roaming their borders, Morrigan spends evenings looking at the stars with her mate, Viniq. Although they seem to have less and less time for hatchlings they still make time for each other in their increasingly busy days. They may seem like an odd pair upon first inspection, though when given a closer look it is clear they both share a wonder for the sky and a deep understanding of the virtue of silence.

Hoarding suits Morrigan down to the bone, as she likes to keep everything she comes across. Her favorite bits and pieces are from her battles. Discarded weapons, scraps of fabric, and so forth. She also likes to collect feathers. If she comes across anything that might interest Viniq, she brings it to him at night when they watch the stars together.
