Aether is an energetic dragon with his head in the clouds. He is considered to be a guest of honor, though he does little in the way of being one other than existing. Sometimes he can be a bit more trouble-making than the fledgelings, though he doesn't go out of his way to be. He's just simply very, very curious about everything ever. As both the Wind Ambassador and a member of a fairly reclusive subspecies of the Plateau, the Keep with it's warriors and unusual trades and even the snow outside bring new adventures and curiosities each day for him to investigate. Aether's affinity for magic is unexplored, but based on some of his comments it's possible that he is just as powerful as Indigo- he likely simply lacks the training. Aether came to the Clan as a fledgling fresh out of his baby feathers so to speak, so while he likely received some training, he didn't 'awaken his true potential' or anything like that. But it is very likely that he has far more ability in the magical arts than most of the dragons in the Keep do with their respective elements. Aether seems particularly interested in Jules, fascinated by his wares, and Cobalt. He seems to find the science of elements that the fae is researching to be odd and intriguing, though like everyone else, he gives him a fairly wide berth due to the reasoning of "He's scary." Jules is a little more friendly and as such Aether is more willing to talk to him- and Jules crafts items that the Dancer likes. His cave is covered in pots of carefully cultivated bamboo stalks, wind-chimes made of copper and hanging gems, and bubble wands he's gotten from Jules. It also always smells like incense, varying between cinnamon and lavender and beyond. He's also accompanied by a small aer sprite who looks after him for his family across the sea. |
