Backstory
Selvans was born into a rather large nature clan that lived in the Shrieking Wilds. As a hatchling, he was fascinated by the animals that lived in the forest, and he often strayed from his lair to play with them. It was on one of these impromptu play dates that he met a young cockatrice. The cockatrice followed him home, and became Selvans' familiar. The two played all kinds of games together, in the lair and in the forest, and Selvans often hung out with his animal friends more than he did with his clanmates. As Selvans grew older, it came time for him to find a new home outside his birth lair, so Selvans went with his siblings to the marketplace to seek out a new clan. There, he met several dragons from several different clans, and his siblings went on to new clans, but Selvans was left at the marketplace. Suddenly, he spotted a tiny gold-throated sparrow perched on the horns of a young guardian, who was trailing after and older female guardian and a male ridgeback as they went about their shopping. Selvans, being an animal lover, just had to see that sparrow. The guardian, whose name was Specter, was friendly enough once he ascertained that Selvans was not attempting to eat the sparrow (an incident which occurred surprisingly often, it seemed), and the two struck up a conversation. At the end of the day, Selvans followed Specter home, and he was accepted into Clan Phantom. He is happy in his new home, and shares a hollow with Specter, Felspar, and Kachina (and their respective familiars, of course).
Personality
Selvans is a very playful dragon, a bit hyperactive and quirky, and very good with animals. It is his job to care for the familiars in the lair if their owners are out hunting or fighting. He loves his cockatrice companion dearly, despite the fact that it is prone to misbehaving. Selvans has a seemingly unlimited amount of energy to apply to both work and play, and he is always on the go, racing around the lair with his cockatrice or racing through the Tangled Woods in search of food. He is good friends with Specter, as despite their differences in personality, with Specter being more serious-minded than his hyperactive friend, the two share a common love for their familiars.
