Born a Coatl, she was changed into a Skydancer and blinded following an accident with a magical scroll when she was still a hatchling. Her mate is Ikelos, a Nocturne who was born a Guardian. She was formerly his charge, but went on to become his mate as well and has remained as such since his change.

Though she no longer has the hearing impairment of her birth-species, she still prefers to speak her native tongue rather than draconic; the antennae of her new species serve her well in this sense, as she can still interpret the vibrations in the air associated with the Coatl language quite easily. The change in anatomy has made it slightly more difficult for her to hum her native language perfectly like she could before, but she's still understandable to those who know it.
