Amaros

Though young and physically weak, Amaros possesses an astounding grasp of the arcane arts. He was well on his way to becoming one of the clan's strongest mages before he broke ranks to join the rangers. Though Raziel feared at the time that Amaros would be unable to keep up with the guerrilla warriors, the mage has set about making himself quite the niche. True, he lacks the physical fighting skills of the others but his magic and strategy makes up for the deficit. Amaros likes to think of himself as a practical sort, often frustrated by Azael's daring plans. In this frustration, he has found an ally in Salamiel, who has taken the mage in under his wing. This protection pleases Amaros immensely as Azael's efforts are far more likely to get him and everyone else killed. Oh, Amaros is loyal to Azael. He'll back his leader against all the other council members but he wishes Azael would take a step back to observe how things are playing out. It would be a far sounder strategy to pit the council members against each other and step in when they have exhausted themselves from the fighting. It's becoming increasingly clear that Azael's thought processes are even more clouded then normal when it comes to his adopted family though and, more importantly, that Azael has no desire for command of the clan. Amaros can deal with that but he refuses to die on Azael's behalf.
