Vega's jobs mostly consist of busywork - although most of the other dragons in the lair have specialized roles, he fulfills a lot of the odd jobs. Mostly to do with things like cleaning up, or making routine trades, or escorting hatchlings to the deities they'd like to serve. He's something of an assistant to Leviathan, and comes up with some pretty sharp ideas on how to keep the clan in order. Such as, sending Drone to do business at the Trading Post so that he's not at home all day complaining? Very smart. Very appreciated. But who's Vega...? Love-lorn, starry-eyed, large-hearted - these are all adjectives, and none of them are exactly incorrect. He gets along well with other members of the clan, and he's always eager to lend a hand to those in need, but... he's also somewhat lost. The collapse of the Wisteria Whirls left a greater impact on Vega than he cares to admit. Most of the original clan had left, including Vega's mother, and his father's passing had actually been the catalyst of the clan's collapse. Everyone else seems to have moved on, or at least are doing a good job of pretending they have. Nothing seems to faze Byzantium, Marimba disguises everything with humor, Insularia and Leviathan are busy with the day-to-day matters of the clan who even KNOWS what Denizen or Finite are feeling - Vega, basically, is in hell. He tries his best to push onwards, but pretty much never had the chance to mourn his father's death or his mother's departure? Not that this all happened when he was a hatchling, or anything, he just feels like he'd been expected to shoulder all of this well because he was an adult. That said if you even lay a finger on one of the other members of the clan Vega will go ape. |
