Biography
" A hero is someone who voluntarily walks into the unknown. "
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - The young Wildclaw soared through the sky above his clan's home, sun shining down and glinting off of his bright plumage. He closed his eyes from a moment, enjoying the warmth of the bright day. Adjusting his winds to bring him closer to the surface of the ocean, he skirted the tops of the waves as he neared the island he was aiming for. Coming down into a slightly less than graceful landing, Macario caught a chunk of grass in his skid to a halt. He winced. 'Ohhhhh, Hemlock is going to chew me out for that one. That botanist is really nitpicky ...' Distancing himself from the scene of the crime, he made his way over to a pair of Wildclaws he had been looking for. 'Rosencrantz! Guildenstern!' He called out to the twins, hopping slightly as he shouted their names. They took notice to him, and met him halfway. 'How lovely it is-' 'For you to pay us a visit-' 'Young Master Macario.' The twins spoke in alternating turns, joining together in unison for the last sentence. Macario grinned, chucking through his sharp teeth. He always did like these two. They were the most interesting dragons in the clan, in his opinion. Born of the same clutch at the same time, they were unrelenting tricksters, and witty pranksters. This facet of their personalities drew him to them from the time he was very young, and much to his mother's dismay, their mischievous ways rubbed off on him. 'I was looking for you both for days! Where were you?' The pair looked at each other through the sides of their eyes, sly smiles spreading across their faces. 'Why Master Macario-' 'We were both just out-' 'On a little errand-' 'For your dearest mother.' Macario shook his head. He rarely could get a straight answer out of either of them, and if they were out on business for his mother, then he probably didn't want any details. She tended to use those two for the less ... savory tasks that needed to be done. 'Alright well, I'm just glad I found you. I wanted to say goodbye.' The two cocked their heads in unison, and spoke in the same manner. 'Are you going on a trip, Young Master?' His heart felt heavy. He was practically raised at their heels, and now he was bidding them goodbye, not to see them again for a very long time. 'No, I am leaving this clan. I've been getting restless for some time now, and I think it's time for me to see what is out there in the rest of Sorienth' For the first time since he had known them, he saw his friends' faces drop in sadness. It was for but a brief moment, however, and soon the usual mischievous smile adorned their pointed faces. 'Oh, Young Master-' 'It will be sad to see you go-' 'But think of the adventures you will have!' The heaviness of his heart lifted with the spirits of his dear friends. Suddenly, any doubt he had been harboring about his departure was dispelled, replaced by excitement. 'You have grown-' 'Into a fine young warrior!' 'Any clan that you happened upon-' 'Would be lucky to have you among their ranks!' Smile splitting his face, Macario bowed his head to his oldest, and dearest friends. 'I thank you, friends. Now I finally feel ready to start my next adventure!' Despite the fact that Macario was the final hatchling to emerge from his egg, this Wildclaw has displayed a great amount of bright energy from the beginning. Always quick to leap into action, he tends to get tangled up in his own hasty decisions, but despite this, he manages to get himself out of whatever problems he causes. His bright and eager personality draw people to him, and tend to make them more forgiving of his rather frequent social missteps. Wild, and carefree, Macario had always looked out over the horizon in yearning. He began training into the mighty warrior that is now so that his strength might carry him to new heights, and on new adventures. |
