She started with little putt-putt boats powered by candles, Windamier loved to watch them whirr in skittish circles across ponds. When the time came to master a craft, she idly picked carpentry and wood carving, it wasn't long until the master wood-worker noticed the constant nautical themes in her fine work and brought in a ship wright for her to apprentice with. Now Windamier makes row-boats and carves long oars, her favourite part is painting bright and intricate patterns on the sides and sweeping the brush to bring the name of the boats to life - well, its just about second to seeing her work take to the water for the first time.  
Her works are sturdy, of course, but they aren't designed for being tossed and hurled around by monstrous waves; they are perfect for gentle, glassy lakes and smooth harbours. She has several clients, most of which are the idle type with lots of treasure, but she has given discount boats to communities and clans who pooled their treasure (perhaps throwing in the oars for free). She has two boats she kept for herself, one little row boat called The Terrapin, painted in a deep shiny black with red and yellow roses, and creeping green thorns. The other is a more ambitious skipper, the Mooning Maren, with sun scored sails and sunny gold paint. Of course, in her spare time, Windamier likes to sail placid waters. A bit of an introvert, she rarely shares her passion, though she will often take her equally quiet friends out to the beach to indulge her shell collecting habit, where they will spend the night happily string pearls, shells and pebbles together to make necklaces, wreaths and garlands. - Bio by Snowbirb #124501 - |
