Baglis is cool and aloof, taking after his father Lamechial in appearance only. He is rather reluctant to mingle in large parties of friends and is very introverted. He is also prickly about facts and beliefs, often drawing a thick line in the sand as to what is logical and sound, and what is fanciful and unnecessary. He has very little interest in fighting nor the warring of the beastclans, though he takes much interest in the beastclans themselves.

Baglis spends much of his time cloistered within the Clan's library studying the centaurs, the serthis, the maren and harpies and has written many papers concerning their civilisations and what was lost to them at the end of the third age. Baglis keeps correspondence with a Dunhoof ambassador who indulges his curiosity from time to time. This often causes sparks within particularly opinionated dragons but regardless of Baglis' pacifism, he will stand up for the facts presented in the works of scholars.

Baglis' Mate is Liette - they spend most of their time together reading, Baglis looping around her as they share a brew together. Liette hasn't much interest in history, unless it concerns tea of course, but she is always supportive of her mate's intellectual pursuits and he, in return, tolerates many taste sessions of bitter hot tea. He has compiled a small pile of scrolls on ancient brewing methods for her.
