Cypris is the founder and matriarch of Clan Wildrose. Her charge is her clan; she is devoted to protecting its members and their home. To outsiders she may seem stern or serious, but her clanmates know her to be a benevolent leader and a maternal figure to the younger dragons of the clan.

BACKSTORY

Upon reaching adulthood, Cypris left her birthplace, the Viridan Labyrinth, and began her Search for a charge to protect. The young guardian traveled all across Sornieth, but was unsuccessful in finding a charge; she returned to her homeland, hoping to find it there. However, a distraction came in the form of a Fae named Ares, a childhood friend of Cyrpis'. The young male courted her; though she wished to continue her Search, it wasn't long before she realized she would soon have a clutch of eggs. With Ares' help, she began to build a lair and a nest. It was but a minor setback, she thought; once her hatchlings came of age and left the nest, she would resume her Search. This was not to be, however. While caring for her nest, Cypris found a hatchling all alone; whether the child was lost or abandoned, she couldn't know. But she couldn't leave him by himself. Thus, she adopted Peridot. The Guardian took several other young dragons under her wing as well. Then, the hunter Celyn began living with the small family; after him, a few other adult dragons joined them. A small, ragtag clan had begun forming. Though Cypris' biological children soon left, the other dragons were there to stay. She realized this was her charge- this young clan, and all its members.
