Biography

Yori was born among some rubble on the coast of The Tsunami Flats. He wandered alone and ate what smelled good, but was quickly taken in by a clan. They fostered him and would probably be thankful to have him be a part of the clan, but Yori felt he didn't belong there. He loved soaring over the water, feeling the ocean air in his face, smelling the tangy saltiness of it all. One day he was flying over an island, not too high, just so he could look down and see clearly. The island was beautiful, with mountains and caves, a beach and even a forest. He soared lower over the beach and saw to his utter disbelief a hatchling and a Mistwatching Shellion ! He swooped down and though he had just matured himself took care of the little hatchling. He very jokingly named her Rheanna, meaning "Great queen". Since she had been the only dragon on the island she must be it's queen, he mused. He fished and hunted and made a temporary lair for them on the beach, and as Rheanna matured she helped him. They decided to both settle on the island, which they named Kethendir. Yori nervously asked her if she wanted to be his mate, and got a big yes. Soon they had 5 healthy baby hatchlings which they gave to the Tidelord as a thank you gift for providing this safe haven for them.

As Rhea did her research Yori found himself taking more pleasure in making Kethendir livable and beautiful. Rhea told him about what she had seen and read, and Yori tried to rebuild things as she described them. In the evenings he often took her out to see all the changes and progress he had made. As other dragons settled he got more help. They revamped an old lair they had found close to the beach. It waas a cave, but they made the inner most wall disappear by magic. To Yori's surprise he could now step right from the lair onto the beach now that the wall was gone. As an added bonus the removal of the wall gave them a beautiful view of the beach, and many loved to sit there and watch the sun go down. Yori also had the idea to build an underwater lair for those who thrived under the surface. Once it was ready they dug a tunnel from the cave floor down to the underwater lair's entrance. Yori thrived here with his new clan, and enjoyed constructing and rebuilding Kethendir. New ideas came popping up and were usually enthusiastically recieved by everyone.

Yori early observed how his fellow clan members saw Rhea as a leader and went to her for most things like if they could afford this or that, could a visitor stay overnight, etc. Technically he and Rhea together formed the leadership but as Rhea was on top of most things and obviously had the traits a clan leader should have he was not at all surprised nor envious that the clan saw her as their leader. Instead he encouraged and helped her to see that she was the right dragon for the job. He himself went to her for advice. He would not have it any other way, and they took the bigger decisions together. Eventually they agreed on him being a deputy leader.

Personality

Yori is one of the kindest dragons of the Kethendir Clan. Some might say he is the kindest. He prefer to be in the background of it all, and to work with his hands, build and arrange rather than to work with his intellect or magic. An outsider would possibly say he isn't much as he rarely takes the spotlight or isn't as charismatic as his co-founder, but many recognises him to be a cornerstone for the clan, and he is a big support for his former mate. With his humour and his special kind of silent, obvious encouragement Yori is the one who made it all possible, to live on Kethendir and to form the clan.
