I’ll tell you a tale of Kethendir’s rise
A story to answer your “hows” and “whys”
The clan over which many dragons fly
Was once so empty as all passed it by.

But then, the beginning of Kethendir’s lore
Began when a small egg was washed up ashore
Alone, she hatched, wondering where she was sent
With only a silent Shellion for a friend.

Along came a Mirror, Jeremiah
Who saw and felt pity for poor little Rhea
Together they stayed and together they flew
Named the empty island upon which they grew.

Soon the duo found that they were not the first
Discoveries to make, they both had the thirst
To rebuild the island, how it used to be
And restore it to all its past glory.

As news spread around, more visitors came
To help out the founders and pledge their name
A safe haven it was, a new home they found
A great, big family of dragons abound.

Every one that stayed, they all had a place
Those who were lost, here they found their own ways
Even today, the story won’t end here

Once, not too long ago, an egg got swept up on a golden beach. It lay there for a while before it hatched. The little female hatchling found herself alone on a deserted island with only a silent Mistwatcher Shellion for company. Jeremiah, a just matured Mirror flew over the island and saw the hatchling. He was filled with sympathy and wished to take care of her untill she could take care of herself, like he had been helped. As they were both homeless they settled on the island, which they called Kethendir. The female, Rheanna or Rhea, wanted to restore Kethendir to it's former glory. They found proof that dragons had been living there, so Rhea often flew to the mainland and searched for information on Kethendir's past. As other dragons heard of the two dragons rebuilding the island they went to see for themselves. A few settled down and joined Rhea and Jeremiah in their project. They found to their surprise that they had formed the beginning of a clan. the clan of Kethendir.

As time passed the founders saw that dragons like themselves saw Kethendir as a safe haven. Dragon after dragon flew over the island, most of them feeling lost in some way or another, either socially, mentally or phsyically, some exploring Sornieth searching after something undefineable. Some settled down permanently on Kethendir, some stayed for a longer or shorter period of time. Rhea and Jeremiah decided that their clan and their island should be a safe spot for all dragons in need. Everyone helped eachother to the best of their abilities to try to find their passion, identity, self esteem, a path in life, or whatever they was searching for. The environment was friendly and encouraging, and a "beach bar" was built right beside the lair, where everyone could sit down, have a cup of tea or a glass of fresh lemonade or juice, and still engage in their individual passions. Some cooked and served, some made beautiful art pieces, played music or sang, and othere just sat there with their cup or glass in hand and chatted with eachother. They called this bar The Hub, since this was the place everyone went when they had nothing to do. The ones who preferred solitude stayed in the lair or strode around the island by themselves. There was a place and use for everyone on Kethendir, and this made Rhea and Jeremiah overjoyed time and time again.
