Only a few hours old, Altair decided to play a game with his sister, Luxaris. A good ol' fashion game of tag. They ran and ran, trying to avoid getting tagged. When they ran out of breath, they finally took the time and looked around. Where were they? Where was their mother? They were lost. They cried for help, but nobody answered besides the birds squawking above them. Luxaris stuck close to his brother, trusting he would get them out of this mess. But, honestly, Altair had no clue what to do. He pretended he knew where they were.
"Yeah, no problem, we just have to walk this way." Altair told his younger sister while pointing to a random direction.
Luxaris nodded, and so they went. They walked, and walked, and walked. Their stomachs growled and their claws were sore from walking so much. Then, they heard a rustle.
"H-hello?" Altair called, looking around for the source of the noise. Luxaris was terrified, and broke down into tears.
"Please don't hurt us!" Luxaris cried. "We're lost! We're only hatchlings!"
Finally, the "beast" revealed itself. The beast was about half of the size they were. It was a maize and gold fae.
"Hey, my name's Aursolis." The fae said, his voice quiet and small. "What is your, uh... your clan's name?" he continued.
The hatchlings looked at each other. The stranger seemed nice and trustworthy, right? Well, even if he wasn't, they still wouldn't be able to tell him. They had no idea. They wouldn't even remember what their mother looked like anymore.
They shrugged. Aursolis was puzzled as what to do. He didn't want to steal the hatchlings, but he definitely didn't want them to stay out here and starve to death.
"Follow me," he had decided.
Altair and Luxaris bounced and hurried behind the tiny dragon. It wasn't long before they arrived at their destination. It was an area with tumbled pillars as walls and huge pine trees acting as a roof, but light still trickled from the branches and into the lair.
Aursolis walked up to another fae who was a brown and green colour. Another dragon appeared. It was a coatl who towered over all of them. Luxaris snuggled up to her brother, visable shaking. The coatl was wearing, clean, shiny, unscratched armour. The two faes and the coatl spoke too quietly for Altair to hear. When they were done, they turned to the hatchlings. The coatl was the first to speak.
"Hello, young ones," she started, "I understand that you're lost." The hatchlings nodded.
"And you can't remember where you came from?" The hatchlings shook their heads.
"Well, welcome to clan Sun Bear!" The coatl was smiling, her armour and feathers sparkled in the sunlight. "This will be your new home now! If either of you remember your original home and wish to go back, one of our members will escort you back. Understood?" The hatchlings nodded again. Everyone so far seemed so friendly. Surely this would be a great new home.
That day was months ago. Altair and Luxaris were fully grown now. Altair began training as a treasurekeeper, as this clan really needed one. Every dragon in this clan loves to spend money and really needed some organization. Plus, the skydancer fell in love with the little coins and became very protective over them. He takes his job very seriously. He works with Windbreaker, an Ice spiral who is in charge of keeping gems. With their help, clan Sun Bear has flourished and grown, with minimal money loss.
Outside of his job, Altair still loves to have fun and mess with his little sister, Luxaris. This was their home and it felt like it always should have been. Altair has no regrets of becoming lost those many days ago.

"You did what?!" Altair ran his claws through his mane in distress as he stared wide-eyed at Aurum.
"I used some of the treasure to buy sweaters, it's no big deal." Aurum casually checked his claws for ever-present dirt to scrape off. "We can earn it all back, we make decent income."
"You spent a month's savings. On SWEATERS!" Altair threw his arms up in exasperation. "This ledger reads multiple transactions that all read "sweaters". It's summer!" Altair turned and took the ledger off of the marble pedestal at hold it up inches from Aurum's face. It was true, there was the word "sweater" written in red ink next to a huge negative sum.
"A month isn't so long, we'll simply earn it all back and everything will be the same. Except we have more sweaters," Aurum reasoned.
"...I can't believe you."
