B I O G R A P H Y

______ In flying class, Windbreaker was always the fastest. Nobody could ever keep up with her. She broke record after record in speed and agility. She graduated earlier than any other dragon ever had before. After graduating, Windbreaker knew she would be able to live in the clan life. So after a heartfelt goodbye from her parents and promising to always write them, she set off.
Being from the Southern Icefield, she always loved the gigantic snowy mountains that were plentiful in the area. Her goal was always to find the highest mountain she could and scale it. She spent years preparing to climb this mountain with the perfect gear. Finding this mountain was surprisingly difficult but after months of searching, she finally found it.
Huge, enormous, monstrous. None of these words seem to capture the size of this mountain. But, without hesitation, Windbreaker began her ascent.
That was the last letter sent to her parents. They didn't get another letter for years and their feared the worst. Until one day they got news. One of their alliance clans had a dragon that matched the description of the missing spiral perfectly. After a visit, however, they realized Windbreaker was not the same. She used to be bubbly, hyper, and sometimes even a little chaotic. Now, though, she was almost as if she was... vacant. Her speech is low and monotone. Her personality now quiet and standoffish. When asked about what happened, Windbreaker stares off and says,
"I don't know what you're talking about."

______ Windbreaker now spends her days as Keeper of Clan Sun Bear's gem supplies. Rarely leaving her den, she seems to spend all day counting each gem, then recounting them. Young hatchlings say that she speaks to spirits inside the gems and that she even names them. This is just a hatchling story though. There's no truth to it.. right?

Old Lore...

Like many dragons in Clan Sun Bear, Windbreaker comes from a lair deep in the Southern Icefields. In this liar, Windbreaker couldn't really "earn her stay". She didn't like to fight, didn't like to hunt, and she didn't dabble in magic. She did, however, have a fascination with gems. They were just so blue and sparkly. She couldn't help herself! She had to have them all.
So, she tried to get them all.
She spent weeks trying to find her clan's gem storage. She would sneak out of her bed at night and search and search. Then, one night, she finally found it. It was in a small hidden crevice in the ice. Her eyes widened, pupils dilated. In this small crevice was.... was.... actually, it only contained around 30 gems. However, Windbreaker didn't mind. She had to have them. She quickly grabbed them all and returned to her bed. She dug a hole under her bed, placed the gems inside, then moved her bed back on top of the hole. The perfect plan! No way anyone would notice, right?
Wrong.
Early dawn rolled around and every dragon in her clan was woken with a freight. The gemkeeper was furious.
"Who took them?!" They cried. "The gems! They're gone!"
The clan formed a search squad to find the missing gems. Windbreaker was sweating buckets. Maybe, she could just sneak in and place them back where they belonged. No, that was impossible. The hole in which the gems were originally stored in was now guarded. Well, no way they would search everyone's beds, right?
Once again, Windbreaker was very wrong.
Windbreaker was in deep, deep, deep trouble. The whole clan now knew she was the one who stole the gems. "I'm sorry!" She cried to her clan leader. "I'll never do it again!" The clan leader, a massive guardian, wasn't convinced. Windbreaker was sobbing at this point. She knew what they did to unobedient dragons here. She was a goner, for sure.
The large dragon felt a shred of mercy for her. "Listen, spiral." Windbreaker looked up. "Leave. Now. Never return. If I ever see you again, you will face the Icewarden."
So, Windbreaker ran. She had nothing now. No home, no friends, and more importantly, no gems.
She had no idea what to do. She lived in a clan all her life. She wasn't ready for the loner life. Then, an idea came to her. A couple months before the incident, three coatls left her clan. She overheard them talking about the Sunbeam Ruins. So, the Sunbeam Ruins she went. Once there, it took her a couple days to find it, but she didn't find it. She found out they called themselves Clan Sun Bear. Aurum, the leader, was a pure golden coatl with a golden heart.
"Why were you kicked out?" She asked.
"Uhm...for... for stealing gems. But! I didn't mean to steal them! I promise! I just wanted to hoard them. You guys don't have a gemkeeper, right? I could be that gemkeeper!"
Aurum was skeptic about Windbreaker's proposal. But, hey, what did she have to lose (besides a couple of a hundred gems).
From that day forward Windbreaker was the clan's gemkeeper. She never stole a gem, or kept any back when the clan needed to purchase something.
Windbreaker truly believes Clan Sun Bear is a better fit for her.
