...I don't think it was supposed to do that. In spite of having absolutely no inclination for magic, Delphiel is determined to become a powerful sorcerer. His complete lack of inborn ability means that he attempts to use arcane rituals. He's not very good at these either. He can often be found off hunting for "spell components" and ancient scrolls and tomes of arcana, or scribbling down wobbly runes with pieces of gypsum. Most of his castings, if they do anything at all, blow up in his face. Occasionally literally. His crackle was a result of one such magical mishap. Despite everything, he remains a good-natured and sweet dragon, if somewhat clumsy and forgetful. His crush left the clan, and he could not follow. However, his shimmering scales and endearing good looks provide him plenty of opportunity for company, and perhaps to assuage his aching heart, he never turns down open arms. |
