Biography
Where everyone else in the EchoFlower clan has a cemented purpose of some sort, Py is not like the others. He has very few moments where he stays near the clan, but when he does, he is tending to Pumpkin and their nests. The pair became fast friends and close mates soon after meeting and Pumpkin is quite pleased with the arrangement. She never was one for long term mushy things, and Py doesn't ask much of her in return. The pearlcatcher is known locally as the surveyor, although he is closer to a cartographer than anything. He travels quite a distance and returns in order to bring back new goods, information on other clans, and knowledge of the beastclans movements. Though his maps are crude, they pass the inspection of the resident cartographer and are easily translated. He can hold his own in a battle if he needs to, but part of his attraction to Pumpkin and her attraction to him is their similar stance on violence. They both prefer the peaceful out in any situation. Though he is often on his own for long stretches of time he prefers to use his natural stealth and speed to stay far away from danger. On the rare occasion that a package needs to be delivered from his wanderings to the EchoFlower clan he brings it back in one piece before continuing on his way. Sometimes he is sent back out with packages, especially during festivals and important events in the clan. He doesn't mind, except that he sometimes would rather be doing anything other than babysitting a package full of baked goods and a heavy box of books Blink traded for yet another heavy box of books. For him, the transition between the Everbloom Gardens and the wandering ways of the troupe weren't that shocking. The biggest shock was comforting the dragons who had known no other life than the Everbloom Gardens and the endless field of golden flowers. Integrating into the troupe was easy for Pyroar, who spent much of his time between traveling the wider reaches of the world and getting to know his new companions. Despite his own easy shift into a truly nomadic life, the rest of the EchoFlowers had a harder time and he often helped them out when he was around. Gifts from the Everbloom Gardens are still a popular treat from Py's travels for those who haven't let go quite yet. Py is somewhat reserved with the other dragons in the clan, but he isn't entirely standoffish. He brings the young ones trinkets from his travels and has been known to bring back goods that the older dragons enjoy as well. This has caused him to become a sort of favorite. His magic tricks are pretty impressive as well, and they never fail to entertain those around him despite their actual use being close to nothing. Py has an optimistic outlook on many things, but his favorite weather will always be rain. Having come from the water flight, he still pines for the comfort of water in his new forest home. This means he frequently travels back to the water clans to connect with his roots, and when the troupe is traveling through the Gladeveins he most often splashes through the shallow waters alongside the road. Pyroar is extremely popular among the clan for as short of a time he's in it. Many dragons like him and he adores bringing them trinkets and chatting with them. His somewhat distant personality does lend a bit of stiff interaction but he means well and most dragons understand that. With Pumpkin, it could have been love at first sight if either of them had been that mushy about romance. Instead, they appreciate each other and enjoy their company, always allowing the other to do their own thing. One dragon Py can not stand is Han, the imperial. While Py is generally a pacifist, he can't stand imps and imps cant stand him. Of the three imps in the clan, Han is the one Py has come close to blows with on several occasions. His hoard doesn't consist of much, since he is always on the move. Instead, he tends to deposit little trinkets among Pumpkin's hoard and sorts them whenever he is around. He enjoys travel and couldn't imagine being pinned down to one area. If there ever comes a day he can't travel, he doesn't know what he will do with himself. |
