Fidelia's Mate

*It was morning light...Or it should be as the lighting storms in The Shifting Expanse keeps the daylight from shining through. As you walked down the hall, you bumped into a female coatl that look irritated.* I'm sorry, Traveler. But have you seen my mate, Album? He took a picture of me when I woke up and said that my plumage was all funny-looking. If Tundras can get bed-head looks in the morning, then it's only natural that Coals can mess up their plumage in their sleep, right?

*You asked her he name and what she was going to do with her mate.* My name's Fidelia. My mate has a habit of using a device called a camera and taking pictures of me and everyone else that he can get a laugh out of, especially when he pranks us. *As you search through the lair, you soon catch sight of a male nearly identical to Fidelia, slipping a picture into what looks to be a photo album. Since a coatl's hearing isn't so keen at some sounds, you managed to sneak up on him and see that there were pictures of Fidelia looking as cute as a kitten in them, including one where she was tangled in various threads and yarns, clutching a yarn ball. You poke him, alerting him to your presence.* Yikes! Oh...Hello, Traveler! Isn't she cute? I didn't thought she would play with me, showing her plumage all ruffled up this morning. Another picture of her sweet face in my collection.

*You explained to Album that his mate was looking for him, concerned about the picture.* Huh? She just had a coatl's version of a bed-head? I get it now; she doesn't want me to show that picture off since it'll collide with her fierce side. And by fierce, I mean her being a kitten to the clan. What? She's not as tough as she believes to be, but everyone don't mind that trait of hers.

*You both hear Fidelia's voice suddenly.* There you are, you mischievous coatl, you. About this morning's picture...

*The male Coatl held up his album as a hint.* It's in my personal album, my kitty. No one but myself will be looking at the picture unless you wish to see it.

*Fidelia gave an attempt to purr, which was actually quite good for a dragon.* And here I was, worrying over it. That's good to know.

*Album gave a smile.* I would feel awful if I had embarrassed you in that manner. But seeing you getting mad is much more enjoyable anyway. I Found a traveling merchant that had catnip the other day and purchased some. Want it?

*That was when you saw Fidelia's face get livid.* You know of all of the feline things I do, catnip isn't one of them! I get groggy at the mere scent!

*A click from Album's camera and he was off again with his items in his hands and a smile on his face as Fidelia gave chase. You just watched in amusement like several of the other clan members were, wondering who was going to win this one.*
