Defensive and nasty, Murdoc is not a dragon someone wants to cross. Her rage is easily sparked and she is not beyond causing harm to even the clan members if they step over the line. Her anger is only a small part of who she is, but it is what most see when they meet her. The rage and bitter taste she holds for all dragons in the clan seems odd, but Murdoc doesn't actually hate anyone. She hates their actions. The clan of the Reborn has remain peaceful for years and Murdoc refuses to have some dragon stepping out of line ruin that. As an enforcer of the law of the clan Murdoc takes it upon herself to keep the dragons safe, and if that means being cruel and unforgiving then so be it. As long as she's in the clan, no one is going to break any of the rules, no matter how small. She will keep dragons in their dens during a time of war and help them escape when evacuation is necessary. Thankfully, neither have happened yet.

A strong sense of justice is under her tough exterior. The desire to treat everyone fairly and make sure everyone remains safe has been ingrained in her since she was young. As far as Murdoc sees it, the whole clan is her charge and she won't let it hurt itself or have others hurt it. Her abilities in battle attribute to her ability to protect and foster a safe environment for the current and future generations. Her skills to fight are only unleashed upon enemies that prove they need to be taught a lesson, and when an angry Guardian is towering over them, they will know true fear. They will rue the day they angered Murdoc, for all the rage she has in her will be unleashed upon them.

When confronted about her behavior, the most dragons get is an angry growl or the swipe of a tail. They won't get an apology or even a glance of remorse. Only anger. The way Murdoc sees it, as long as the dragons see her as a horrible beast, the less likely they are to harm themselves or to cause trouble for another clan. If the rules are obeyed then no one has to worry. If they are broken, they know the always angry and upset Murdoc will be on their tail before they would be able to escape. Apologies work well on Murdoc, however, as long as they are genuine. She'll believe an 'I'm sorry', but the accident better not happen again.

Her birth clan sold her at birth to a clan that raised future protectors. From a young age, she was told that her charge would always be the clan she would claim as her own. She must protect that clan and those in it, acting as a guard. Little did she know the clan that took her in was getting paid hefty amounts from terrified clans that hoped a powerful Guardian would look over them. All Murdoc knew was that clans needed them, and one needed her. She was trained from just a few days out of the egg until she was a young adult, able to take down even the strongest of teachers. It was then that she was ready to partake in the Search. She had to find her charge. Packing what little belongings she had, Murdoc set off from the Shadow lands, traveling to every land to try and find the clan she could call home.

While she was traveling, she was attacked. Rather often, actually. The attackers ran away with broken bones and bleeding noses, the roar of an angry Guardian coming from behind them. Murdoc has never killed an enemy. Her job was to scare attackers off, to keep them away from the dragons she would one day protect. Her journey took her to the Ice lands, then to Nature's, then Light's, and Wind's, and Water's, and Plague's, and Arcane's. Every land was torn apart by her, every clan studied carefully. She couldn't find her charge. Then, she went to the land of Fire. She wasn't too fond of it, a place she never wanted to really visit because, well, it was hot, but her charge had to be here. They just had to be.

She searched and searched, looking for the clan that she would call home. Then she found them. The clan of the Reborn. She walked around the clan grounds as a guest and it was then she decided that the clan was her charge. She announced this to the oldest dragons of the clan and picked out her own den. No one could argue with her, as she refused to leave. They decided it was best she stay when she chased off would-be raiders from the clan grounds and beyond, chasing them miles away from her home. She came back and went back to patrolling her home, making sure all the dragons were safe. Her anger and rage was there to protect them. She couldn't let her guard down. Not for an instant. Being warm and friendly might show potential attackers that she was weak, and that could never happen. Not if she was going to keep the clan safe.
